Fudolig made a commitment at the end of the essay to do something concrete for the country, precisely because "talk is cheap". In your own way, what kind of action can you take or commitment can you make as a response to the author's challenge.
Guidelines:

URGENT:
This email is to inform everyone about some of the changes and updates on the schedules and events we will be having for the coming weeks. These are not yet all the updates; I will send you more (most of them pertaining to the academic calendar) as soon as I get word from my chairperson/the APAA. In any case, here are some of the confirmed details and changes:

2) June 26 (Friday): Mass of the Holy Spirit. Periods will be shortened to 30 minutes to accommodate the Mass. However, the Mass will take place in the morning, and there will no longer be a salu-salo. I suppose the school is still trying to avoid large gatherings to prevent the further spread of the H1N1 virus. As it is, there is no word if parents will still be encouraged to attend the mass; we will find out by June 22.

4) July 1 (Wednesday). Org Fair for all students will push through on this day. June 24 will be spent for preparations for the Org Fair (c/o Org Moderators and Org Officers).

5) August 14-16 (Friday-Sunday). The 4N Retreat will push through on this day. However, there are talks of having them start the retreat on Friday morning instead of the afternoon, so there will no longer be a need to have a retreat holiday the Monday after. This setup will be applicable to all 4th year classes and 3rd year classes having their DAMAY immersion.

6) August 25, 27, 28 (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday). First Term exams will push through on these days.
